5X Letterpress is a graphic design and letterpress studio, based in Saronno, in the outskirt of Milan, and run by Davide Ferrario.
Since 2018, 5X specializes in producing prints exclusively with traditional letterpress techniques, using old printing presses, metal and wood type, classic stereotype plates, laser-cut plates, and experimental matrices made from unconventional materials.
The concept behind 5X Letterpress is to design and print graphic design products by blending analog methods with contemporary aesthetics to create unique graphic design pieces – ranging from posters and postcards to business cards for companies, brands, and events.
Alongside his design activity, Davide also teaches Letterpress Printing at CFP Bauer in Milan, and Typography and Layout at IED Milan.
